Directions for roasting green coffee beans

Warm a frying pan (prefably cast iron) to medium heat
Add a layer of green beans, do not add too many beans at a time
To brew the coffee in the field, put the ground beans in a pot of cold water and bring to a boil. Boil for about a minute Take off the heat and then sir the pot with a spoon to creat a wirlpool effect, this will settle the  grounds to the bottom. Pour slowly so you wont get any grounds in your cup.
It takes about 5-10 minutes before the beans start to change color
Keep frying and stiring until you get the aroma you are looking for
After the beans have cooled place them on a flat board and crush them with a rocking motion with the butt of your rifle. If you are home use a rolling pin or a wine bottle
